Town of Littleton Passes Bond Vote for School ExpansionPress Release

On March 9, 2010 the Town of Littleton, New Hampshire approved the $10.84 million expansion to the Littleton Career and Technical Center and Middle School. Bread Loaf Corporation architects finished the design in 2008, with Littleton residents diligently campaigning for passing the bond vote ever since. Their persistence paid off. The project was approved by an overwhelming 73% of the vote and has moved forward into design development. The Town of Littleton is fortunate to receive State building aid that will cover 80% of the project cost, minimizing the financial burden on the Town's residents.

Existing school facilities that serve the Middle School and Career Center programs are at the end of their useful life. It was determined that a four story expansion on the very constrained site would be the most cost effective design solution while respecting the historic façade of the existing turn of the century High School. Bread Loaf’s design will consolidate these programs in one location. This solution is not only the most economical, but also unifies the existing educational facility. Construction is slated to start in August 2010 with completion in Sept 2011.
