Summary
Bread Loaf designed and built a 101,700 square foot corporate office, fulfillment center and warehouse for this Brattleboro, Vermont distributor of natural foods to community cooperatives. Freezer and cooler space, extending 40 feet in height, totaled 36,480 square feet of the warehouse space. Bread Loaf installed an ammonia central chiller plant to help cut energy costs, winning the Best Mechanical Solution for Energy Efficiency awarded by Efficiency Vermont in 2003.
In a second phase addition and expansion, Bread Loaf added 67,680 square feet to the dry goods warehouse, refrigeration and freezer space and loading dock areas.
