  • Associated General Contractors of Vermont

I would recommend BLC for any project on an institutional campus. They are professionals and know the process required of our unique needs. Construction is a detraction from our primary mission, BLC is one of the few contractors I know of that can complete a construction project without disruption to the mission of an institution. Summary

Durick Library

Bread Loaf provided construction management services to build a 33,000 square foot addition and complete 38,000 square feet of renovations to existing library spaces within the defined project schedule and budget. This doubled the amount of usable library space and allowed for modern technological upgrades. A reinforced concrete and steel framed structure with brick facade and copper roof harmonizes with the college’s existing buildings and adjacent Arts Center. The updated library features small group study rooms, private study carousels, a multi-purpose space and lecture rooms.

Hoehl Welcome Center

Bread Loaf served as Construction Manager for the Hoehl Welcome Center. Construction for the three-story, 14,085 square foot building began in July, 2002. The steel-framed structure features a brick veneer and sandstone panels and is topped with a zinc-coated copper roof. This elegant facility at the Campus Road entrance was completed before students returned for the fall 2003 semester.

Alliot Hall Servery

Bread Loaf served as Construction Manager for the Alliot Hall renovations project. The sequence of renovating this 13,000 square foot project included demolishing existing spaces and transforming them into an extended servery, a more prominent cafe, an enlarged book store and renovating the building's lobby, dining office and multi-purpose spaces.
