Killington Grand Resort Hotel

Lobby

Summary

The Killington Grand Hotel and Crown Club Owner’s Association requested Integrated Project Management services for the extensive renovations required for their hotel’s three-story main lobby. Logistically challenging, the lobby renovation project included four phases of work allowing uninterrupted guest access during renovations of the resort hotel’s lobby and conference center’s entrances.

The projects vision was inspired by the overwhelming success of the Preston’s Bar and Restaurant renovations that were completed by Bread Loaf in the prior year. As a result, all existing materials and finishes were removed and replaced in an effort to harmonize these two important spaces. The use of rustic, timeless materials - stone, wood, and metal has transformed the guest experience immediately upon entering the building. The singular main reception desk was replaced with three “kiosks” that are approachable, inviting, and functional for guest services. The creation of small, intimate gathering spaces was critical to the success of the lobby renovation project. Bread Loaf worked closely with Killington’s Interior Designer to unify the architecture, finishes, and soft goods.

The project was completed under budget and on time ensuring Killington had plenty of time to prepare to host the 2017 World Cup event in late November.
